one version of "the talk"

the picture: so you've been casually someone for some number of months. good sex, good conversation, good company, good laughs...but you have no idea if it's exclusive. part of you doesn't want to be exclusive or dive into it being a relationship because it just seems like putting a label on it would make it that much more restrictive. i mean, we all have issues with commitment but for him/her, you've been considering letting the single life go or at least seeing how far it can go.
anyway, question is: how do you bring up "the talk" without it being so (dun dun dun) "THE TALK"?

jokingly mention part of it when the thought comes into you head.
ask a little at a time.
beg the question with a "story."
say this "dude" tried to holler at you. see how he responds. then you can see where he stands on the friend-lationship.
deal with the talk. dont waste time. time is money. money is green. green is the new black.

thanks guys. hahaha. sigh. i miss you all. one year anniversary is coming up! should i fly out again? muuuahaha.
break it into parts. make it a long, drawn-out, continous conversation that plays out slower than it would had you had "the talk".
